Jessie Ware Remixed
So November 2014 saw the launch of the Jessie Ware Remixed project, where we sent our favourite South Londoner to five different Red Bull Studios to remix her track Keep On Lying with her favourite five underground producers over five days. She hooked up with Harry Fraud in New York, Preditah in London, TOKiMONSTA in Copenhagen, Nina Kraviz in Amsterdam and Pional in Paris. You can keep up to date on the whole project right here.
This comes at the end of a hectic, massively fun and succesful year for the Red Bull Studios London, so here are a few more of our favourites...
Right at the beginning of the year we launched our competition for bands to play on the Red Bull Studios stage at Download 2014. Thousands of entries were whittled down to just eight bands, selected by you the public and a panel of judges, including Dom Broco, Huw Stephens and Katy P. Chasing Cadence, Chinese Missy, Create To Inspire, Life On Standby, Adelphia, They Say Fall, Sinners Highway and Breathe In The Silence were the final line up and had the time of their lives performing at one of the most important dates in the heavy rock and metal calendar.
Monki & Friends 2
We also hooked up with Radio 1 DJ and musical tastemaker Monki to produce her second Monki & Friends EP. In two hectic weeks during the summer heatwave she, along with friends Joe Goddard, Preditah, Murlo, Sinden, Make & Pasteman, Cause & Effect, Melladee, Moko, Kidnap Kid and Novelist took over the upstairs studio and sweaty basement to produce an awesome seven-track EP, which has been listened to nearly 70,000 times. You can download it right here.
Oneman Solitaire Mixtape Vol. 3
September saw a massive collaboration with one of the most sought after DJs of the year, Oneman. To help him complete his Solitaire Vol. 3 mixtape, he visited five of the Red Bull Studios to collaborate with Ryan Hemsworth, Trim, Mumdance, Tom Trago, Mickey Pierce, Sinden and Main Attrakionz, and Sam Tiba to produce seven tracks for the compilation. You can listen to them all exclusively here. We threw a massive party at the Bussey Building in Peckham to launch the mixtape release, with a guestlist that maxed out almost immediately and had live performances from Trim, Mumdance, Sam Tiba, a guest appearance from D Double E and of course, Oneman himself.
That's not everything – we've got a month or two left in the year and plenty more up our sleeves, stuff that's bubbling under the surface and about to happen, so keep an eye out for all kinds of excellent new projects.
