Capetonian producer Dwson has started to make an impact in the local deep house scene having already released on DeepWit and So Many Music. Soulful and deep, he refuses to be tied to one style of house and his productions cover a range of subgenres.
Growing up in a household filled with jazz, Dwson started out DJing before getting into production. With influences that range from the discography of Soulection to house legends such as Jullian Gomes, Atjazz, Detroit Swindle, Days Dolls and Alex Sousa he also draws a lot of inspiration from local producers. “Most of my sets are based on local artists. I get promos and shit and I play their stuff out and it does a lot of damage.”
For his release with Red Bull Studios shows the variety of moods he likes to explore in production. Ranging from 109 BPM to 116 BPM he describes the project as diverse and filled with different energies, from the more uptempo vibe of 'Tales' featuring Dunn Kidda to the arp heavy 'G' and the key driven 'Daffodil'.
