Join us as we delve into the dusty crates of South Africa’s vinyl collectors and DJs, inviting them to exhibit a selection of some of the most important records they have purchased over the course of their digging careers, whether it be for the artwork, the rarity of the release or just the importance of the music itself.

These collectors will also DJ on the night of the exhibition inviting some of their top selectors to join them in a night of vinyl-only music.

This month features Afrosynth founder, DJ Okapi. Digging up rare grooves in the city of gold, DJ Okapi brings a forgotten era of South African pop music back to life.

Through his blog, record store and tours to Europe he is bringing classic SA bubblegum and kwaito to a new audience.

Listen to him guide you through a selection of shop favorites – from newly championed rarities to traditional Congolese sounds and more.
