Though they may have been the sibling partnership that coined the term “The Kids Want Techno”, with more than 7 years DJ experience behind them as a duo, it’s more than just techno that these two bring to a dance floor.

With their blood ties forging an unmistakeable synergy between them, they move effortlessly between genres within their sets while still keeping the solid techno influence they have become known for.

Not afraid to explore deeper and more intricate sounds they have earned respect amongst South Africa’s more discerning music lovers through many hours spent at clubs and after hours gigs alike. As a result of their single minded dedication to their craft, Sound Sensible have respectfully risen through the ranks as a DJ combo, going on to play at major festivals around the country like Rocking the Daisies, Oppikoppi and Earthdance, as well as specialist club nights like Killer Robot and Upstairs at Truth. Not content with merely playing the tunes, they also perform live compositions and remixes, using touches of their own production and Ableton Live digital knob-twiddling skills.

Last year the duo founded Sound Sensible radio. Hosted by the Van Rensburg brothers alongside Cameron McLean, the crew brings a weekly showcases aimed at the promotion of electronic music through the prism of the Sound Sensible sonic pallate. Guests over the past year have included the likes of Floyd Lavine, Phat Jack, Kat La Kat and plenty more. Broadcasting every Thursday evening from 19:00 to 22:00 (GMT +2) and every Friday from 12:00 to 15:00 (GMT +2) the show is fast becoming the one of the South Africa's most respected online stations for underground dance music in South Africa.
