Markus Wormstorm

Markus Wormstorm has been called a ‘Techno Polymorph’ by Wire magazine and hailed as the ‘Godfather of South African Electro’ by IDJ magazine.

He began releasing music internationally through New York based label Sound Ink at the age of 19. He has collaborated and remixed many artists including Waddy Jones (of Die Antwoord), MF Doom (as Viktor Vaughn) and Sibot.

Markus’s studio serves as a hub for emerging musical talent and delivers trend forecasts for fashion brands. The studio oversees licensing for television commercials and has in the past placed music by Beyonce and Icona Pop through their relationships with major label publishers. 

Markus’s collaboration with New York times illustrator Christoph Neimann produced a game called Petting Zoo which sold over a million copies and was called “absolutely fabulous” by USA Today. In 2015 Markus won a Safta Award for Best Original Score for his debut feature film Four Corners.
